How to make a simple 2-level approval workflow in Sharepoint 2010

Hi guys. I’ve been struggling these days searching for a way on how to make a workflow that will act like this for my resource scheduling project:

Supposedly there are two approvers
1) Manager
2) Administrative Assistant
When I create an event, an approval is sent to my manager or any person I specify if my manager can’t repond to the request within due date. Once the first approval is completed, the event will remain pending until the Admin Assistant approve the request he will receive after the manager’s approval. When the event gets two positive responses, that’s the only time that the event will be dislayed to the calendar.

Then I came up with a solution. This may be so simple but has solved my problem. It may not address your problem but this could give you a hint.
